The Mullies Chapel Bell
1
What silvery sounds pervade the vale and rings in every ear,
What joyful tidings does it bring, what message does it bear,
I come, it says, to every door where Mary’s children dwell,
I am the weekly warning of the Mullies Chapel Bell.
Chorus:
Come in, come in, kind folks, come in, to pray and to adore,
And when you make a lasting peace, go home, and sin no more.
2
If mortal sin doth stain your soul, why do you it endure,
But go unto the doctor that’s always sure to cure,
He’ll cure your soul from imps control,
And demons he’ll expel, if you attend when warned by the Mullies Chapel Bell.
Chorus.
3
How sweet it is to breathe the air of Sanctifying Grace,
How sweet is perseverance in a sinless pious case,
It opens to you Heaven and it shuts against you Hell,
If you attend when warned by the Mullies Chapel Bell.
Chorus.
