Leitrim writer and farmer Gerry Bohan launches his first book of short stories on September 16 at The Dock in Carrick on Shannon.

Fresh from the Drumshanbo Written Word Festival that took place in August, “The Clainings Tree and Other Stories from the Heart of Leitrim” is a collection of eight short stories published by the Drumshanbo Written Word Press.

Gerry is from Mohill and wrote both comical and poignant stories that are a social commentary portrait on the traditional customs and practices that are still alive in Leitrim today.
