🖊 Unlock Your Creativity – 6-Week Tuesday Evening Creative Writing Course

✨ Have you ever dreamed of writing a novel, crafting short stories, or finally putting pen to paper on that idea that’s been lingering in your mind? Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced writer looking for fresh inspiration, this course is for you.

Over six relaxed Tuesday evenings, join Nicola Kearns—International Bestselling Author and Creative Writing Coach—as she guides you through the wonderful world of creative writing. Nicola’s workshops are about freedom, imagination, and finding your voice—no pressure, no judgment, just the joy of writing.

🎉 This course is perfect if you want to:

  • Start (or finish!) your novel
  • Explore short story writing for magazines
  • Try a new form—poetry, memoir, or even a play
  • Overcome writer’s block and feel inspired again
  • Write simply for the joy of it ✍️

💡 What to expect: Creative writing is about more than words—it’s about expression. Some nights you might leave with a single powerful sentence, other nights with pages of new ideas. Both are perfect. Nicola will guide you through simple, manageable stages that make writing feel exciting and achievable.

Types of creative writing include:

  • Fiction (novels, novellas, short stories)
  • Poetry
  • Memoirs & personal essays
  • Scripts & plays
  • Even speeches and songs

And don’t worry—spelling and grammar don’t matter here. What matters is imagination, inspiration, and giving yourself permission to write.

Below is a review of Nicola’s coaching skills from Leitrim writer Seamus O’Rourke, and reviews from some of Leitrim School of Art’s past students.

Apart from being a fabulous author herself, Nicola Kearns has always shown a huge interest in the work of others. When I put my first book of poems together (A Lock of Poems, Recitations & Good Ones), and when I finally got the courage to write my memoir, (Standing in Gaps) — Nicola was first in line to offer her support. Yes, she put a positive review online, but it was the long telephone conversations, her genuine interest and passion for the art form… that was worth a thousand reviews. It gave me a sense of worth and a sense of being part of a bigger picture.

Nicola’s natural instinct is to support and nurture and… to ‘mind’… I’m a big long in the tooth for idle paise or false hope… but when someone shows genuine interest, when someone who has walked that same crumbling path takes the time to lend a hand… you grab hold of it, like she was your sister, your carer… your friend. Nicola Kearns has great skill as a writer, but equal to that, is her instinct to nurture what she sees in others.
